Cayla Butler is the owner of Butler Music School. She bought the business in 2010 to pursue her lifelong dream of making music a full-time career. She became a professional pianist and vocalist at age 14 and has been playing music as long as she can remember. Starting at a young age she took many years of private music lessons. She attended Jenks High School and Tulsa Junior College focusing her studies on Music and Business. She began teaching at the music school in 2005 which was established by Scott Musick and became the owner in 2010. She has love, passion and the gift to teach music. She teaches vocal and piano lessons and currently performs as the featured artist in the Easy Street Band.
In 1980, Scott Musick and Michael Been formed The Call and enjoyed much critical and popular success throughout the next decade while being signed to three major record labels in the U.S. and abroad. Scott has also toured the world performing with great artists such as Peter Gabriel, Kris Kristopherson, Elvis Costello, Delbert McClinton, The Band, and many others. Musick's current songs are a departure from the The Call's sound, with a more acoustic based style that winds around Americana to acoustic rock, and even a bit of Gospel. He teaches guitar and drum lessons for Butler Music School.
Dominique Barnes was a child prodigy showing tremendous talent and drive to succeed at a very young age. She performed in the Broken Arrow High School Orchestra and the Youth Symphony while studying with TU professors and award winning composer, Chance Thomas. She currently teaches Violin, Viola, Mandolin and Beginning Piano for Butler Music School. She received a full scholarship to the University of Tulsa and is pursuing her Bachelor of Music (B.M.), Composition, emphasis in Film Scoring. She performs with University of Tulsa Symphony Orchestra, University of Tulsa Chamber Players.
Dylan Whitney is truly a gifted & a multiple award winning musician. Though young in age he is a very mature Guitar player even recognized in the Urban Tulsa as “the Wiz Kid of Blues”. Dylan has toured in Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas & Tennessee. As a solo artist or playing with Hall of Famers Dylan brings an excitement to the stage that even the seasoned veteran appreciates. He brings that same passion to his students in their guitar and bass lessons. He teaches them all the basics of playing guitar and then takes them to the next level. He has studied with some of the best teachers in the area and is continuing his education at Tulsa Community College.
